YOU can speak to me of twelve steps
i see MY OLD FRIENDS fighting narcotics
to escape their own death,
breath stinking of depression….
… and eyes glossy with hope,
but i just can’t grasp the concept
i’m at the end of my rope cuz I THANK GOD that I gave up using D.O.P.E!
there’s no book for a hustler,
You can’t read it and learn,
It’s just a way of life that some people strive for untill they get BURNED!
no holy grail of redemption….
some confuse it to be the bible,
but i’ve read the pages as deception,
So please correct me if I am wrong to say….
That you can finish programs but without GOD your ADDICTION stays!
Practice what you preach they say…..
for the lord knows my life is hard and he sees my struggles on a day to day!
So instead of feeling weary I THANK GOD for being ALIVE TODAY!

BY walking these concrete paths daily,
staring into the blind faces of malice!
the enemies…once called friends
this is the end that THEY chose OR SOME HOW DEPEND!
Some of them may of WON but there are some who just LOSE…
They believe that the ADDICTION is a part of yesterdays NEWS!
So I FINALLY said GOODBYE to MY ADDICTION:
cuz I used to be addicted to the streets…
I just choose a different PATH!
and THANK GOD daily for BLESSING me and my FAMILY!
i know it seems simple,
but addiction is much more…….
and contrary to societies beliefs,
not all addicts are junkies and whores!
as i may have not stated ONCE before
i’m addicted to the streets…
the money, the schemes, the power
to gain respect and feel the heat….
of all the money LEFT in the STREETS!
this is what i was used to LIKE….
and i swore to my loved ones I’d stop
but damn, it’s was so difficult
when i was once at the top!
I finally LOST my inner SOUL,
and was FORCED to FREAKEN STOP!
with far less money, chasing stars
a galaxy away from success…..
All I do is go to school and write so that OTHERS can see my SUCCESS!
plus I HAVE far too many emotional scars
