The Caged Mind

Why do we become like those whom we despise

We become imprisoned, and embodied in the hurt and the lies

We CRY out hoping the release abortion the pain,

but the taste of freedom, so unfamiliar,  like a caged bear let out to roam

It wouldn't know how to find it's way home

All it knows is the caged mind, that was adopted, then adapted

It wouldn't know it's natural extincts, it wouldn't know it's natural habitat

It wouldn't know how to roar or ATTACK

Wouldn't know how to claw a fish

Wouldn't know how to reach for a bee hive

All it would know is the hurt and the lies

All it would know is the person it despise

All it will know is THE CAGED MIND.

Pain can bring out the best and the worst in a person
