About Me:
From the streets of New York to the top of San Antonio, TX comes Bambu. He was born Billy Emmanuel in Harlem, NY. As a young boy his Mother used to call him “Bam Bam” and the girls called him “Boo”, hence the birth of his stage name “Bambu.” Tragically, both parents died on separate incidents, by the time he reached the age of 12 years. He played College Basketball and obtained a national ranking, but dropped out and pursued his career as a rap artist. Bambu has gained much attention by way of his unique flow and lyrical content of his rap. He sings and raps on most of his songs, which makes him stand out from other rappers nowadays. He started out as hype man for a few artists. He has since started his own journey and has opened up for established acts such as Trae The Truth, Zero, Killa Streets of The Wu Tang Clan, Bun B, Big Mike of The Getto Boyz, Twista, Ne-Yo and R&B singer Miguel. He has gained respect by proven artist such as Big Gemini and Latin Grammy award winning producer, Ace-1. He is currently working with heavy hitting producers, Ace-1, Red Prodigy, Protege Beats, and Ov Beats. He currently released his album, Love, Money, Music which can be found on iTunes as well as his mix tape Ground Zero on several top mixtape sites. Bambu has a versatile collection of music which allows him to perform in any venue, for any genre and all ages. Bambu’s hype man days have ended, but the hype over his music is just beginning. Bambu is not to be mistaken as just another Artist; indeed he is the exact opposite. Bambu's songs come alive with great producers he is working with. Music so powerful that through innovative lyricism and creative wordplay, the music itself is on a mind blowing mission, that can't be stopped!
