    T.I. was released from federal custody early Thursday, his attorney confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

    Attorney Steve Sadow said T.I. left the Dismas Charities Atlanta halfway house "very early this morning" after spending the last year in federal custody and the last two weeks at the halfway house.

    TMZ reported that T.I. left the halfway house just after midnight. Without fanfare, he got into a chauffeur-driven SUV and rode off.

    T.I. will have one year of supervised release. He must participate in a drug/alcohol testing and treatment program.

    "Me and Tip have been friends, working together for almost a decade now, so we know what we gotta do. It's really time to get to work and get to the music," said Drama, who has present during T.I.'s recent recording sessions that he's been allowed to hold since being in a halfway house. "So I'm just happy when I was in the studio with him to really see where his focus was at musically and I was excited for the fans to hear it sometime real soon." - MTV

    In a recent interview with DJ Clue on Power 105.1 FM, DJ Drama revealed some of T.I.'s upcoming music plans and spoke on what we can expect from Tip in the near future. Listen to the radio interviews below.

    "Tip just came home. I was in the studio with him," Drama said. "He's actually about to drop a new song next week." He explained that although Tip is in a halfway home, he's still able to produce music. "He's in a halfway house but when you're in a halfway house you can still get to work. So he's been in the studio during work time and he's banging out.

    The Atlanta Post is reporting a 25% sales increase in T.I.'s clothing line AKOO. On another note, it's also been ruled that Tip will be allowed to keep the trademark name based on a recent ruling by a federal judge. T.I’s company name is being contested by media company Akoo International. The suit, however, is still ongoing.

    TMZ is reporting that right after T.I. enjoyed his first taste of freedom, he enjoyed the taste of a home cooked steak lunch - specially prepared by his mom and his aunt!

    They spoke with the Tip's Aunt Lita, who said once she learned he was released, she and T.I.'s mom headed to the kitchen to cook some of his favorite things for the bus ride to the halfway house. The meal included steak, collard greens and their "famous" mac 'n cheese.

    After T.I. put down the food, he called his Aunt and thanked her for the "amazing" meal.

    It's been less than 48 hours since his release from prison, and the KING is already putting in some serious work. Yesterday it was announced that Tip connected with VH1 on an upcoming reality series. Today, it's been confirmed that T.I. has signed a book deal with Harper Collins.

    As some might expect, the book is not a personal memoir about his rise to fame or his time spent behind bars. Instead, a Harper Collins rep tells the AP, it’s a fictional story about two friends who grew up on the dangerous streets of Atlanta. Titled Power & Beauty, the novel was written by T.I.
